Job summary

UGL in Sydney is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to lead design inputs for mechanical deliverables on the M6 Stage 1 project. You will work under the Discipline Manager, Mechanical, and collaborate with a broad project team to deliver safe, compliant infrastructure.

The role requires at least 6 years in mechanical project engineering on large road projects, a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, and relevant Rail Industry Worker competencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised institution.
• Minimum 6 years of mechanical project engineering experience on road construction.
• Knowledge of SHEQ processes and supervision of others.
• Rail Industry Worker competencies.

Responsibilities

• Understand overall project and communicate to the Project Team.
• Monitor design costs against budget and report changes.
• Produce project documentation (calculations, design reports, drawings).
• Ensure design outputs are checked and approved before release.
• Coordinate design with other design team members.
