Job summary

NSW Department of Communities and Justice seeks a Senior Overseer for Facilities Maintenance Electrical at Silverwater Correctional Centre. You will lead electrical maintenance, mentor Overseers and inmates, and oversee planning, resources and safety across a large correctional facility.

Qualifications

• Electrical trade qualification and NSW Fair Trading Electrical Contractor Licence or Qualified Supervisor Certificate.
• Current Certificate III in Correctional Practice or willingness to obtain within CSNSW timeframe.
• Current driver licence and willingness to drive.
• Ability to work across various trades as required.
• Ability to work on and after-hours on-call roster.
• Experience leading teams and mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical maintenance operations across the complex.
• Guide Overseers and develop inmates through workplace training.
• Plan and coordinate maintenance; manage resources and budgets.
• Drive continuous improvement in service delivery.
• Ensure safe, efficient, high-quality electrical services.
