Job summary

Geoffrey Pearce Correctional Centre in NSW is seeking a Senior Overseer - Laundry 5D to lead daily operations and mentor staff and inmates. You’ll plan and coordinate laundry activities, drive productivity and safety, and deliver outcomes while ensuring compliance with CSNSW policies.

The role offers ongoing full-time work, a structured government environment, and a pathway to professional development through Certificate III in Correctional Practice, with paid training provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate III level qualification: Laundry Operations, or related trades, and proven trade experience or willingness to obtain within timeframe.
• Certificate III Correctional Practice or capacity to complete within specified timeframe.
• Current Driver Licence and preparedness to drive as required by role.
• Experience demonstrating ability to meet key accountabilities and focus capabilities.
• Ability to work across various trades as required by the business.

Salary: $108,197 pa + Incidental Allowance + Leave Loading + Superannuation

Bring your trade, operational or industry expertise to a role where your skills can make a real difference. Whether your background is in Laundry Operations or associated you'll lead and mentor Overseers while coaching and supporting inmates to build practical, job-ready skills.

You'll play a key role in planning, coordinating and delivering daily operations, driving productivity, efficiency and commercial outcomes while creating a positive, collaborative workplace. Your leadership will help prepare inmates for meaningful employment after release, while ensuring high standards of safety, quality, compliance and customer service.

What you’ll do:

The Successful candidates are provided with paid training to undertakeCertificate III in Correctional Practice at an allocated Corrective Services Academy training facility.

• Minimum Certificate III level qualification: Laundry Operations, or related trades, as well as proven trade experience otherwise must be willing to obtain certificate within timeframe set out by CSNSW
• Certificate III Correctional Practice or capacity to complete within specified timeframe
• Current Driver Licence and preparedness to drive as required by role
• Experience which demonstrates the ability to meet the key accountabilities and focus capabilities as detailed in the role description
• Ability to work across various trades as required by the business
