Job summary

South32 Group Operations Pty. Ltd. in Queensland is seeking a Superintendent Electrical Maintenance to lead the Electrical Maintenance function, delivering safe, reliable and cost-effective performance while ensuring compliance and supporting sustainable outcomes.

This permanent position operates on a roster and offers FIFO from Brisbane or Townsville, with DIDO options from Mount Isa, Cloncurry and McKinlay shires. Strong leadership and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent recognised qualification.
• Experience leading maintenance and reliability teams in heavy industry.
• Electrical licence and a valid Queensland driver’s licence.
• Ability to develop and optimise maintenance strategies for critical assets.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for electrical safety, risk management and compliance.
• Develop and optimise maintenance strategies across critical assets.
• Manage contractor performance, service agreements and maintenance budgets.
• Support projects, shutdowns and asset improvement initiatives.
