Qualifications

• Experience designing and leading MV electrical systems (11 kV–33 kV) across concept to detailed design.
• Strong cable-system design, including ampacity, derating, voltage drop, short-circuit, earthing and cable schedules.
• Proficiency in DIgSILENT PowerFactory and related power-system studies.
• Experience with transformer and switchgear specification, impedance and tapping.
• Knowledge of protection and control philosophies, relay settings and commissioning.
• Excellent client engagement and ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• Professional registration in Australia (RPEV/RPEQ) or pursuing Chartered status.

Responsibilities

• Lead MV balance of plant electrical design for generation and storage projects.
• Develop and review design bases, single-line diagrams, equipment ratings and cable sizing.
• Build and review PowerFactory models and undertake load-flow, short-circuit and contingency studies.
• Select and review transformers and major electrical plant, including ratings and impedance.
• Develop protection and control philosophies, testing and commissioning plans.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary inputs and mentor engineers.
