Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Associate Director - Electrical Engineer to lead medium‑voltage design for utility-scale wind, solar, BESS and hybrid projects. You will guide the electrical design from inverter or turbine terminals through the collector system, substation, and grid connection, coordinating across disciplines and clients.

You will apply practical design judgement, mentoring engineers and ensuring safe, cost-effective solutions while advancing project milestones across feasibility to

Qualifications

Significant leadership experience in electrical design and project delivery.
Strong client communication and ability to coordinate across disciplines.
Proven ability to translate complex electrical concepts into practical, coordinated designs.

Responsibilities

Lead MV electrical design for wind, solar, BESS, and hybrid projects from concept to commissioning.
Develop and review design bases, single-line diagrams, and equipment ratings.
Build and review PowerFactory models and perform load-flow and short-circuit studies.
Coordinate inputs from multidisciplinary teams and mentor engineers.
