Job summary

AECOM in Australia is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical design and delivery of medium‑voltage balance of plant for utility‑scale wind, solar, and storage projects. You will oversee from concept through to commissioning, balancing safety, operability and cost.

The role emphasizes practical, coordinated designs, experience with PowerFactory, protection philosophies and multi‑discipline collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience in medium‑voltage power‑system design for utility, industrial, or renewable projects.
• Ability to produce practical, coordinated electrical designs across scopes.

Responsibilities

• Lead MV electrical design for wind, solar, BESS and hybrid projects.
• Develop and review design bases, single‑line diagrams, equipment ratings and cable schedules.
• Build and review models; perform load‑flow, fault‑level, voltage studies as required.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary inputs and mentor engineers across the project lifecycle.
