Job summary

Newmont Australia’s Cadia Valley Operations near Orange, NSW, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer - Projects to lead underground electrical infrastructure initiatives from planning through handover. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering recognized by Engineers Australia.
• Extensive experience delivering electrical infrastructure projects in underground mining.
• Strong knowledge of HV/LV power systems, protection, PLCs, instrumentation, and control systems.
• Experience managing contractors, consultants, and vendors through the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of underground electrical infrastructure projects from planning to handover.
• Develop project scopes, specs, and design packages for procurement and contractors.
• Ensure safety, quality, schedule, and budget adherence.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, project teams, and vendors.
• Identify opportunities to improve engineering and delivery processes.
