Job summary

Newmont Cadia is seeking an Electrical Compliance Engineer to ensure the safe, reliable and compliant operation of Cadia's electrical infrastructure. You will work with the Statutory Electrical Engineer to support governance, risk management and asset integrity at one of Australia’s largest underground mining operations.

Based at Cadia near Orange, NSW, the role offers a residential roster and collaboration with project teams, regulators and contractors to deliver major outcomes while advancing

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) or equivalent.
• Experience in mining or heavy industry with electrical compliance.
• Knowledge of electrical distribution systems and reliability engineering.
• Experience reviewing electrical designs and compliance documentation.
• Understanding of electrical safety legislation and Australian Standards.

Responsibilities

• Support compliance with Cadia Electrical Engineering Control Plan and safety standards.
• Develop and implement electrical engineering standards and management systems.
• Contribute to asset replacement strategies and long-term capital planning.
• Provide technical oversight for major capital projects.
• Support electrical risk management, investigations and power system studies.
