SMEC is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join the Sydney rail team. You will design and deliver LV/HV, earthing and bonding components for national rail projects and contribute to drawings, reports and tender packages.

You’ll work in a multidisciplinary environment with strong stakeholder engagement, delivering within budget and time constraints while adhering to Australian codes and SMEC standards.

Competenze

• 6+ years’ industry experience.
• Experience preparing detailed electrical design documentation across rail and other transport infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of Australian codes and standards, Safety Assurance and System Engineering processes.
• CPEng registration or actively progress towards registration.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work with a multi-disciplinary engineering organisation and deliver to budget.

Mansioni

• Design and delivery of lighting, low voltage, high voltage, earthing and bonding engineering services for rail projects.
• Production of engineering drawings, reports, specifications and tender packages from preliminary through to construction.
• Conduct feasibility studies, load calculations and site inspections.
• Reviewing electrical designs, ensuring that analysis and design tasks meet client and SMEC standards.
• Production of engineering reports and supporting tender proposals.
• Proactively collaborating with team members, contributors and stakeholders to maintain quality, timeliness and co-ordination of project deliverables.
