Job summary

Aurecon Group is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for the Mining & Resources team in Gladstone. You will oversee instrumentation, control, and communication systems across complex industrial projects, and provide technical guidance on I&C architecture and automation.

Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering qualifications RPEQ (Electrical) or ITEE equivalent.
• Significant experience with Instrumentation & Control (I&C) systems in industrial environments.
• Experience delivering design solutions across industrial, manufacturing, resources, energy, water, or process industries.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build trusted relationships.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence outcomes across multidisciplinary teams.
• Practical, solutions-focused approach and commitment to technical excellence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the design and delivery of instrumentation, control, and communication systems across complex industrial projects.
• Provide trusted technical guidance on I&C system architecture, integration, automation, and best-practice engineering solutions.
• Partner with electrical, mechanical, process and multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated project outcomes.
• Support and mentor emerging engineers, fostering technical capability and knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to successful project delivery by managing technical quality, schedules, budgets, and project risks.
• Build and strengthen client relationships while identifying opportunities to support ongoing growth across our industrial portfolio.
