Job summary

Aurecon Group in Gladstone is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to provide technical leadership in instrumentation, control and communication systems for mining and resources projects. The role is based in Gladstone with a hybrid working arrangement and requires broad cross-disciplinary collaboration.

You will oversee design delivery, guide I&C architecture, and mentor engineers while managing quality, schedules, budgets and risks to ensure successful project outcomes for industrial clients.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in electrical engineering with a focus on Instrumentation & Control (I&C) systems in industrial environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build trusted relationships.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the design and delivery of instrumentation, control, and communication systems across complex industrial projects.
• Provide trusted technical guidance on I&C system architecture, integration, automation, and best-practice engineering solutions.
• Partner with electrical, mechanical, process and multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated project outcomes.
• Support and mentor emerging engineers, fostering technical capability and knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to successful project delivery by managing technical quality, schedules, budgets, and project risks.
• Build and strengthen client relationships while identifying opportunities to support ongoing growth across our industrial portfolio.

Education

Electrical Engineering degree

RPEQ (Electrical) or ITEE equivalent
