Job summary

Mayday Technical is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design for energy and infrastructure projects in Queensland. You will work on medium and high voltage systems, substations, protection, earthing and power distribution, with exposure to renewables and grid connections.

You will mentor junior engineers, manage engineering packages, and contribute to proposals and business development while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on major projects across transport,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Post-graduate experience in electrical/power engineering.
• Experience in transmission, distribution, substations, renewables, BESS, grid connections, rail/traction power or industrial power.
• Strong knowledge of power system design, protection, switchgear, transformers, earthing and network integration.
• Experience taking projects from concept and detailed design through to construction and commissioning.
• Consulting experience is highly desirable.
• RPEQ/CPEng or eligibility to obtain is advantageous.

The Role
You’ll provide electrical engineering expertise across a diverse portfolio of projects, with exposure to medium and high voltage systems, substations, transmission and distribution networks, renewable energy and transport infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include:
