Job summary

HDR is seeking Senior Electrical Engineers to join the National Building Engineering Services team in Australia. You will lead electrical building services design for complex projects, including data centres, and oversee delivery from concept to construction.

You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure high-quality engineering solutions across project lifecycles within HDR's global network.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead electrical building services design from concept to construction.
• Strong ability to prepare and review design calculations, reports, and specifications.
• Experience delivering complete design packages with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of Australian electrical standards and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with load assessments, fault studies and coordination studies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of electrical building services systems from concept through to construction.
• Independently deliver engineering design packages with minimal supervision.
• Prepare and review coordinated engineering calculations, reports, specifications and design documentation.
• Develop electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, earthing and standby power.
