Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join the National Building Engineering Services team in Australia, delivering complex building services, mission critical and data centre projects across the region.

You will lead design delivery, independently produce engineering packages, review technical calculations and documentation, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of electrical building services from concept to construction.
• Deliver engineering design packages with minimal supervision.
• Prepare and review calculations, reports, specs and design docs.
• Develop electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, earthing, standby power.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Support construction phase services with site inspections and responses to technical queries.
