Job summary

LiveHire Limited is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical design for data centre and mission-critical projects across Australia. You will drive the full lifecycle from concept through to commissioning, coordinating with clients, contractors and OEMs to deliver reliable, compliant electrical solutions.

The role emphasises leadership, safety, and high availability, with exposure to UPS, generators, transformers, switchgear, and protection systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical engineering and design for data centres or mission-critical environments.
• Strong knowledge of LV and MV electrical distribution systems.
• Experience with UPS, generators, transformers, switchgear and protection systems.
• Understanding of Australian Standards, regulations and engineering practices.
• Experience leading projects and mentoring engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering and design of data centre and mission-critical projects.
• Develop electrical concepts, detailed designs, specifications and calculations.
• Design and integrate LV/MV distribution and critical power systems.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, suppliers and OEMs to resolve technical issues.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineers and project teams.
• Review deliverables for quality, compliance and constructability.
• Support project delivery from design through procurement, construction, testing and commissioning.
• Participate in FAT, SAT and integration testing activities.
• Identify and manage technical risks throughout the lifecycle.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of data centre capabilities.
