AECOM Sydney is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead the design and delivery of sophisticated building services electrical solutions across health, defence, transport, data centres, and more.

You will act as the senior technical authority, guiding installation strategies and system integration while mentoring engineers and balancing competing project demands within a hybrid work model in Australia.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of Electrical Engineering experience in building services.
• Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) and RPEV/RPEQ registration preferred.
• Ability to lead multiple technical projects and provide guidance.
• Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and building codes.
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of sophisticated electrical engineering solutions across diverse building projects.
• Act as the senior technical authority on major projects, reviewing design and installation strategies.
• Oversee multiple electrical projects concurrently, balancing technical rigor and client expectations.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate electrical systems into broader building services.
• Mentor and support junior and mid-level engineers.
