Job summary

Cell Engineering seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our growing team in Australia. You will deliver HV and LV electrical projects from concept through commissioning support and provide site engineering assistance.

You will lead technical delivery, mentor engineers, and work with clients across mining, energy, utilities and industrial sectors to deliver practical engineering solutions with high quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering with 6+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience delivering electrical power system projects within mining, utilities, power generation or heavy industry.
• Experience with HV/LV power systems and protection systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver HV and LV electrical engineering projects from concept through to commissioning support.
• Undertake power system studies including load flow, short circuit, protection coordination, arc flash, earthing and power quality analysis.
• Prepare engineering deliverables such as single line diagrams, protection schematics and technical reports.
• Provide FAT, SAT, commissioning and site engineering support.
• Lead technical project delivery while mentoring Project and Graduate Engineers.
• Collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical engineering solutions.

About the Role

Working across mining, energy, utilities and industrial projects, you will:

• Deliver HV and LV electrical engineering projects from concept through to commissioning support.
• Undertake power system studies including load flow, short circuit, protection coordination, arc flash, earthing and power quality analysis.
• Prepare engineering deliverables including single line diagrams, protection schematics, equipment specifications and technical reports.
• Provide FAT, SAT, commissioning and site engineering support.
• Lead technical project delivery while mentoring Project and Graduate Engineers.
• Work closely with clients and multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver practical engineering solutions.

About You

You will have:

• A Degree in Electrical Engineering with 6+ years' relevant industry experience.
• Experience delivering electrical power system projects within mining, utilities, power generation or heavy industry.
• Strong knowledge of HV/LV power systems, protection systems and electrical design.
• Experience using ETAP, PowerFactory, SKM Power*Tools, PowerCAD, PSCAD or similar engineering software.
• A sound understanding of industrial control systems, PLC and SCADA interfaces (desirable).
• RPEQ registration or a commitment to obtaining RPEQ.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for delivering quality engineering outcomes.
