Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
- Experience in rolling stock electrical engineering including fleet modifications, upgrades and overhauls
- Experience managing complex engineering projects from planning through commissioning
- Experience preparing technical specifications, scopes of work and engineering documentation
- Experience performing engineering testing, fault investigation and system validation
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Current unrestricted driver's license
Responsibilities
- Lead the electrical engineering aspects of rolling stock modification and overhaul projects
- Review engineering designs, technical documentation and contractor deliverables
- Coordinate engineering activities between project teams, contractors and technical specialists
- Ensure electrical design requirements are implemented throughout project delivery
- Perform engineering investigations, technical analysis and system validation
- Support testing, commissioning and final acceptance of upgraded rolling stock
- Develop engineering scopes of work, specifications, procedures and technical instructions
- Monitor project outcomes to improve safety, reliability, maintainability and operational performance
- Conduct quality assurance reviews and engineering compliance audits
- Provide technical advice to multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
- Identify engineering risks and implement practical solutions throughout project delivery
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across rolling stock engineering programs
