Job summary

Kintec Global Recruitment is seeking a Senior Electrical Designer in Perth, WA, for a 1-year contract with strong renewal potential. You will lead HV/LV electrical design for heavy industrial mining projects, review vendor documents, and run power system studies to ensure code compliance.

The role requires an Australian four-year engineering degree and 8–12 years’ WA mining experience. You’ll collaborate across disciplines and interface with clients, vendors, and management in a dynamic EPCM

Qualifications

• An Australian-accredited four-year engineering degree.
• Approximately 8-12 years' experience within WA iron ore, mining/resources, or a similar heavy industrial environment.
• Strong experience with HV and LV electrical systems up to 33kV.
• Experience reviewing vendor technical documents and drawings.
• Knowledge of power system studies including load flow, short circuit, and harmonics.
• Experience with electrical cable sizing and cable schedules.
• Familiarity with relevant Australian and international electrical standards and codes.
• Experience developing MTOs, equipment lists, and supporting design documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work autonomously and effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.

Responsibilities

• Previous experience supporting major WA iron ore developments, mineral processing facilities, bulk materials handling infrastructure, or other large-scale EPCM mining projects.
