Job summary

UGL is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to lead full construction delivery for major wind farm projects in Australia. The role oversees site execution, safety, quality, schedule, and commercial performance across multidisciplinary teams with a strong electrical background.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in energy, utilities, transmission, substations or industrial projects and proven leadership of large teams and contractors.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in major energy, utilities, transmission, substation, or industrial projects.
• Previous experience as a Senior Construction Manager or similar leadership role.
• Strong electrical background with HV/LV infrastructure delivery experience.
• Proven ability to lead large multidisciplinary construction teams and contractors.
• Excellent leadership, commercial, stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end construction delivery from mobilisation through to commissioning and handover.
• Drive safety, quality, schedule, and productivity across all project disciplines.
• Manage contractors, subcontractors, and site leadership teams.
• Coordinate construction activities with engineering, project management, and commissioning teams.
• Identify and mitigate project risks while ensuring successful project execution.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
