Job summary

UGL is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager to lead the full construction delivery of major energy projects in Australia. The role covers site execution, safety, quality, schedule, commercial performance, and stakeholder management across multidisciplinary construction activities.

A strong electrical background with HV/LV experience is essential. You will oversee subcontractors and coordinate with engineering, project management, and commissioning teams, delivering projects from

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in major energy, utilities, transmission, substation, or industrial projects.
• Previous experience as Senior Construction Manager / Construction Manager or similar leadership role.
• Strong electrical background with HV/LV infrastructure experience.
• Proven ability to lead large multidisciplinary construction teams and contractors.
• Excellent leadership, commercial, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end construction delivery from mobilisation through to commissioning and handover.
• Drive safety, quality, schedule, and productivity outcomes across all project disciplines.
• Manage contractors, subcontractors, and site leadership teams.
• Coordinate construction activities with engineering, project management, and commissioning teams.
• Identify and mitigate project risks while ensuring successful project execution.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
