Job summary

Seymour Whyte is delivering the Lower Molonglo Water Quality Control Centre Upgrade in Canberra, ACT. We seek a Senior Project Engineer with civil and electrical expertise to drive delivery of key electrical works and overall project performance.

You will lead safety, manage resources, coordinate stakeholders and mentor engineers while targeting schedule, budget and quality milestones for a landmark water infrastructure program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil or Electrical) or equivalent.
• Significant experience on civil infrastructure construction projects for State authorities.
• Experience as an Electrical Engineer on a wastewater or water treatment project.
• Proficient with MS Office and finance systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety culture across all activities, ensure HSEQ compliance and SWMS.
• Manage delivery, site ops, labour, plant, subcontractors, materials and resources.
• Provide leadership, mentor engineers, and support direct reports.
• Own project planning and programming, craft construction programs.
• Manage procurement, variations, claims, and contract risk.
• Drive quality, inspections, ITPs, NCRs and legislative obligations.
• Identify risks and opportunities, monitor safety, environment and cost.
