Job summary

Egis is seeking a Senior Electrical, Instrumentation & Control (EI&C) Engineer to join our Water Infrastructure team in Brisbane. You will deliver technically excellent EI&C solutions across planning, design, construction support and commissioning, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on local and potentially international projects.

You will lead and mentor engineers, contribute to safety in design, and build strong client relationships while supporting bids, tenders and business

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Control Engineering, or related discipline.
• Experience delivering EI&C engineering projects in consulting, utility, contractor or infrastructure environments.
• Experience preparing electrical design documentation including calculations, reports, drawings and specifications.
• Working knowledge of control systems including PLCs, SCADA, RTUs, instrumentation and industrial networks.
• Strong communication and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to technical quality, safety and client service, and experience mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver electrical, instrumentation and control engineering solutions for water infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and review load schedules, cable sizing, single line diagrams, schematics and datasheets.
• Develop and review control system architectures with PLCs, SCADA, RTUs, HMIs and industrial networks.
• Support the design, configuration, integration and commissioning of control systems.
• Lead small to medium projects or work packages within larger programs.
• Perform technical reviews and QA to ensure compliance with standards.
• Contribute to Safety in Design and promote safe construction, operation and maintenance.
• Build client relationships through proactive project delivery.
• Support bids, tenders and business development activities.
• Mentor junior engineers and grow technical capability within the team.
