Egis is seeking a Senior EI&C Engineer to join our Brisbane Water Infrastructure team. You will lead electrical, instrumentation and control solutions across planning, design, construction and commissioning for complex water projects.

Join a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality EI&C outcomes, with opportunities to work on local, national and potentially international assignments and to mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Control Engineering, or related discipline.
• Experience delivering EI&C projects in consulting, utility, contractor, or infrastructure environments.
• Experience preparing electrical design documentation: calculations, reports, drawings, specifications.
• Knowledge of control systems including PLCs, SCADA, RTUs, instrumentation and industrial networks.
• Strong communication and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to technical quality, safety and client service.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and supporting project delivery teams.
• Experience delivering water and wastewater infrastructure projects and related construction/ commissioning activities.
• Professional registration or eligibility; familiarity with Australian electrical standards.

Responsabilités

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Electrical, Instrumentation & Control (EI&C) Engineer to join our growing Water Infrastructure team in Brisbane.

In this role, you will contribute to the delivery of complex water infrastructure projects across planning, design, construction support and commissioning phases. Working within multidisciplinary project teams, you will provide technical leadership and deliver high-quality EI&C solutions that help our clients improve the reliability, safety and performance of critical infrastructure. This role offers the opportunity to work across local, national and potentially international projects while collaborating with experienced engineers across multiple disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver technically excellent electrical, instrumentation and control engineering solutions for water infrastructure projects.
• Produce and review engineering calculations and deliverables including load schedules, cable sizing calculations, single line diagrams, schematics, specifications, datasheets, technical reports and engineering evaluations.
• Develop and review control system architectures and EI&C designs incorporating PLCs, RTUs, HMIs, SCADA systems, instrumentation and industrial communications networks.
• Support the design, configuration, integration and commissioning of control and automation systems.
• Manage or lead small to medium projects, or technical work packages within larger multidisciplinary projects.
• Undertake technical reviews and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with project requirements and applicable standards.
• Contribute to Safety in Design initiatives and promote safe construction, operation and maintenance outcomes.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through professional and proactive project delivery.
• Support bids, tenders and business development activities.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and contribute to the growth of technical capability within the team.

What do we need from you

• Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Control Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience delivering EI&C engineering projects within a consulting, utility, contractor or infrastructure environment.
• Experience preparing electrical design documentation including calculations, reports, drawings and specifications.
• Working knowledge of control systems including PLCs, SCADA, RTUs, instrumentation and industrial communication networks.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Demonstrated commitment to technical quality, safety and client service.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and supporting project delivery teams.
• Experience delivering water and wastewater treatment, pump station, pipeline or bulk water infrastructure projects.
• Experience supporting construction, commissioning and operational readiness activities.
• Professional registration or eligibility for professional registration. Familiarity with Australian electrical standards and industry best practice.
