Job summary

Macquarie University is recruiting two Senior Education Developers for a 12-month term to design and deliver technology-enhanced learning solutions across courses and programs. You will provide expert advice to academic staff, ensure accessible, high-quality digital experiences and support staff in adopting Teams and iLearn.

The role focuses on user-centred design, evidence-informed improvements, and translating insights into practical, scalable learning solutions across the university.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in technology, instructional design or a related field.
• Substantial experience designing and developing digital education programs in a higher education context.
• Experience engaging online and blended learning – ideally using Moodle/iLearn and Microsoft Teams.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI meaningfully into education learning environments.

Responsibilities

• Designing and delivering technology-enhanced learning solutions that meet timelines, quality standards and budget.
• Providing expert consultancy, advice and training to academic staff and learning designers.
• Evaluating pedagogical effectiveness and informing evidence-based improvements.
• Embedding university vision, accessibility and employability in learning design.
• Establishing digital design standards, templates and project planning resources across the academic community.
• Managing learning technology development projects end-to-end with multidisciplinary teams.
• Keeping pace with developments in digital and AI-enabled pedagogy and translating insights into practice.
