John Holland is seeking a Project Engineer at site level for the Illabo to Stockinbingal Inland Rail contract in NSW. You will lead an engineering team, coordinate earthworks, and ensure delivery on schedule and to spec across civil, road, water, and earthworks scopes.

Role involves collaboration with multiple disciplines, procurement support, and ensuring compliance with environmental, safety, and building codes. Attractive relocation and roster arrangements apply.

Qualifikationen

• Degree qualified Civil Engineer, Construction Management or similar.
• Experience within a Tier One contractor.
• Delivery of infrastructure projects with exposure to Civil, Earthworks, Roadworks and water construction.
• Passion for teamwork and delivering on tight deadlines.
• Excellent time management and prioritisation.
• Understanding of HSEQ management systems, compliance, and reporting procedures.
• Previous work in a water environment and technical knowledge of related specifications preferred.
• Demonstrable experience as Project Engineer at site operational level and leader of engineering team.

Aufgaben

• Collaborate on the planning, design, and analysis of earthworks components of construction projects.
• Provide technical expertise on earthworks, including soil mechanics, excavation, grading, and compaction.
• Assist in leading and managing a team of engineers and technical specialists.
• Liaise with project stakeholders to ensure a coordinated earthworks approach.
• Ensure earthworks comply with quality standards and regulations.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Assist with budget preparation and cost management for civils works.
• Assist with procurement, contract documents, and tender evaluations.
• Resolve complex engineering problems during earthworks to keep projects on track.
• Develop and monitor project schedules related to earthworks.
