Job summary

John Holland is seeking an Area Manager – Earthworks to lead site engineers and teams across bulk earthworks for major rail infrastructure in NSW. You will drive performance, safety, and quality while coordinating with senior management and clients.

The role requires a degree-qualified civil engineer or construction management background, with experience in Tier One contracting and exposure to civil, earthworks, roadworks and rail construction.

Qualifications

• Leadership capabilities to guide site engineers and teams.
• Stakeholder management and communication with client and subcontractors.
• Project delivery experience on infrastructure earthworks and rail projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to site engineers, supervisors, and teams on bulk earthworks.
• Oversee operational management to complete works on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Develop strategic plans for earthworks with senior management and implement process improvements.
