John Holland is delivering the Illabo to Stockinbingal section of Inland Rail in NSW, a 39km rail corridor within Junee and Cootamundra-Gundagai. The project uses a 2:1 roster (2 weeks on / 1 week off) with accommodation provided and relocation support within policy guidelines.

The role provides leadership to site engineers, supervisors and teams, overseeing bulk earthworks while ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence and quality.

Formación

• Degree qualified Civil Engineer, Construction Management or similar.
• Experience with Tier One contractor delivering infrastructure projects.
• Delivery of civil, earthworks, roadworks and rail construction.
• Exposure or knowledge in material processing, crushing, screening, and blasting.
• Direct or transferable experience from other disciplines welcome.
• Passion for teamwork and delivering on tight deadlines.
• Excellent time management and prioritisation.
• Understanding of HSEQ management systems, compliance, and reporting procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Provide leadership to site engineers, supervisors, and teams working on bulk earthworks.
• Oversee delivery of earthworks on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
• Develop strategic plans for the earthworks department with senior management.
• Encourage adoption of innovative practices and technologies to improve efficiency.
• Apply construction methodologies to complete works per client expectations and contracts.
• Manage construction plan development, programming and completion schedules.
• Monitor progress and report on project performance and costs against baselines.
• Engage subcontractors and manage subcontractor work to achieve outcomes.
• Stakeholder management and building strong client relationships.
• Manage financial risk and forecasting to maximise project profit.
