Job summary

Stanmore Resources Limited. is seeking a Senior Dragline Engineer for the South Walker Creek Mine to support dragline planning and operations within the Mine Planning team.

The role focuses on developing dragline execution plans, optimizing operations, and collaborating with production, technical and maintenance teams to deliver safe, efficient and cost-effective outcomes at one of the Bowen Basin sites.

Qualifications

• Open-cut coal mining experience with dragline exposure.
• Strong safety culture and commitment to improvements.
• Bachelor of Engineering in Mining or Civil or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain dragline execution and concept plans.
• Optimize dragline operations to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Collaborate with production, technical and maintenance teams for alignment.
• Prepare and review dragline designs to support the mine plan.
• Monitor compliance with plans and designs, implementing corrective actions.

Senior Dragline Engineer – South Walker Creek Mine

We have a rare opportunity for aSenior Dragline Engineerto join the Mine Planning team at South Walker Creek Mine, located in the Bowen Basin. This role plays a critical part in supporting dragline operations and delivering efficient, safe, and cost-effective outcomes.

As a Stanmore Dragline Engineer, you will:

• Develop and maintain execution and concept level dragline plans.
• Optimise dragline operations to improve productivity and efficiency of mining sequences.
• Collaborate closely with production, technical and maintenance teams to ensure alignment and operational efficiency.
• Prepare and review dragline designs to support the mine plan.
• Monitor compliance with plans and designs, and implement corrective actions where required.
• Analyse performance data and support operational decision-making.
• Work at one of the best sites in the Basin.

About You:

• Relevant experience in open-cut coal mining operations, with exposure to dragline planning and operations.
• Strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
• Bachelor of Engineering degree (Mining or Civil) or equivalent.
• Understanding of key productivity and cost drivers in dragline operations.
• Proficiency with mine planning software such as3D-Dig,Deswik,Vulcan, andSPRY.
• Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
