Job summary

Stanmore Resources is seeking a Mining Engineer based at the South Walker Creek mine to join the planning team and support drill and blast activities.

You will create drill patterns, coordinate blasting, monitor performance, and contribute to daily production planning while upholding safety and environmental standards. Residential options or FIFO on an 8/6 roster are available, with experience in Vulcan and BlastLogic preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mining engineering or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in a similar role within a Mining Engineering team.
• Experience with Vulcan and BlastLogic software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Create drill patterns, loading and tie-in designs.
• Coordinate drill and blast to meet mining rates in line with budget.
• Monitor drilling and blasting performance including QA/QC, fragmentation analysis and dilution losses.
• Develop and implement continuous improvement projects and trials.
• Assist with daily production planning.
• Provide accurate technical analysis.
• Uphold safety and environmental compliance.

We are currently looking for a Mining Engineer based at our South Walker Creek mine reporting to the Mine Planning Superintendent. You will join a team of high performing planning engineers to provide drill and blast technical support at South Walker Creek.

• Be responsible for the creation of drill patterns, loading and tie-in designs
• Coordinate drill and blast to ensure blast inventory is maintained to achieve mining rates in line with budget
• Monitor and reconcile drilling and blasting performance including data QA/QC, fragmentation analysis and loss and dilution from blasting
• Develop and implement continuous improvement projects and trials
• Assist with daily production planning
• Provide accurate technical analysis
• Uphold safety and contribute to activities that ensure continued compliance with environmental management

To set you up for success, we expect you will have:

• Bachelor's degree in mining engineering or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in a similar role within a Mining Engineering team
• Experience with relevant software including Vulcan and BlastLogic
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
