Job summary

Stanmore Resources Limited. is seeking a Mechanical Fitter to join the Maintenance Department at South Walker Creek.

You will perform preventative, corrective and emergency maintenance on heavy mobile equipment, including Marion 8050 Draglines, Cat bulldozers, graders and loaders, and lead a team to uphold safety standards. Qualified tradespeople with strong diagnostic skills and experience in a mining environment are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Fitter or equivalent trade qualification with 2 years post-trade experience in mining or similar environment.
• Strong leadership to supervise a maintenance team and coach apprentices.
• Proven experience on heavy mobile equipment and mining earthmoving gear.
• Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office for maintenance records and reporting.
• Safety-focused with zero harm mindset and coal mine site procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative, corrective and emergency maintenance on mining equipment.
• Diagnose faults and perform quality workmanship to minimise downtime.
• Complete accurate daily maintenance records and shift reports.
• Lead and mentor the maintenance team; coach apprentices.
• Contribute to maintenance strategies to meet site requirements.

We are currently seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our team in our Maintenance Department at South Walker Creek.

You will need

to demonstrate sound technical knowledge and experience in equipment operation within a coal mining environment, including:

• A strong commitment to Zero Harm;
• An ability to work and communicate well in a team environment;
• Compliance and knowledge with relevant mine site safety procedures, safe work instructions, standard operating procedures, legislation and rules.
• Undertake preventative, corrective and emergency maintenance, and refurbishment work.
• Ability to perform diagnostics, fault finding and quality workmanship on equipment to minimise down time.
• Ability to complete accurate daily maintenance records and trade shift reporting.
• Strong leadership to ensure your team consistently follow the standards and procedures promoting a safe work environment..
• Coaching and mentoring of apprentices.
• Positively influence the development and direction of maintenance strategies and processes to meet site requirements.

To be part of our ongoing success you will have:

• Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical
• Have proven experience on Marion 8050 Dragline's
• Have proven experience as a fitter maintaining heavy mobile equipment including but not limited to: Cat Bulldozers, Graders, and Loaders
• Mechanical Fitter or equivalent Trade qualified with 2 years post trade experience in a mining or similar environment
• Demonstrate a proactive approach and a positive outlook to waste reduction and cost effectiveness
• General computer skills with SAP & Microsoft office programs
• A passion for safety as a way of life - zero harm focus
• Compliance and exceptional knowledge of mine safety procedures, regulations, safe work instructions, legislation and rules
• Leading Hand experience (desirable)
