Job summary

Deacon Recruitment is seeking a Senior Draftsperson for a residential drafting role in NSW. The position acts as the technical bridge between sales, estimating and production drafting to ensure accuracy and an efficient workflow.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of residential drafting experience, sales drafting/siting expertise, and strong communication skills. NSW experience is advantageous. This is a senior role with progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years residential drafting experience.
• Sales drafting and siting experience.
• Custom build experience is highly regarded.
• NSW experience advantageous.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sitings, floor plans, elevations and sales plans.
• Assess cut and fill, levels, driveway gradients and site constraints.
• Work with Sales Estimators to provide information for tenders.
• Review custom and complex jobs earlier in the sales process.
• Ensure plans consider how the home will practically be built.
• Identify missing information or potential construction issues upfront.
• Assist with new designs, master plans and production drafting overflow.

About the Business

Our client is an established 40 years builder, highly respected and specialising in new home builds across QLD and NSW. Backed by continued growth and a strong pipeline, the business is entering an exciting next phase.

About the Position

Due to growth, a position has been created for a Senior Draftsperson to join the team and strengthen the front end of its sales and drafting process.

This role will act as the technical bridge between sales, sales estimating and production drafting to ensure accuracy and efficient workflow.

Responsibilities will include:

• Prepare sitings, floor plans, elevations and sales plans
• Assess cut and fill, levels, driveway gradients and site constraints
• Work with Sales Estimators to provide the information required for accurate tenders
• Review custom and complex jobs earlier in the sales process
• Ensure plans consider how the home will practically be built

The successful candidate
