Job summary

Emerald Superclinic Pharmacy is seeking an experienced Senior Pharmacy Assistant / Dispensary Technician to join our team in a full-time, on-site role in Emerald, QLD. You will work closely with the Pharmacist in Charge to support day-to-day retail operations, dispensary tasks and store administration, delivering high-quality patient care and service.

Qualifications

• Previous community pharmacy experience is essential.
• Experience working within a dispensary and/or relevant dispensary technician training.
• Operating at, or capable of operating at, a Pharmacy Assistant Level 3 or Level 4.
• Strong customer service focus and enjoys helping people.
• Organised and able to prioritise effectively.
• Able to take responsibility for day-to-day retail and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service and build strong relationships with patients and the community.
• Assist patients with their health and wellbeing needs and refer appropriately to the pharmacist.
• Work with the Pharmacist in Charge to support high-quality patient care.
• Support dispensary workflow under pharmacist supervision.
• Coordinate day-to-day retail activities of the pharmacy.
• Provide guidance and support to junior pharmacy assistants.
• Maintain high standards of merchandising, store presentation and promotional execution.
• Coordinate stock ordering, rotation, inventory control and stocktake activities.
• Process invoices, credits and associated paperwork.
• Maintain customer accounts and assist with account queries.
• Complete cash reconciliation, banking and associated administrative tasks.
• Prepare routine reports for the Pharmacist in Charge and Pharmacy Owner.
• Monitor daily retail performance and identify discrepancies.
