Job summary

Link Group is seeking a Senior Manager, Investment Operations Australia to lead the people, processes and systems behind middle and back-office outsourcing for investment managers and financial institutions. You will drive client service delivery, operational risk management and product development with a focus on profitability.

The role involves strategic oversight, management of the Investment Operations team both locally and offshore, and ensuring high-quality, timely client deliverables

Qualifications

• 10+ years in a similar role with 5+ years of managerial experience
• Experience in custody, investment administration or investment management industries
• Accounting qualification preferable or a related degree
• Strong financial product experience including securities/custody and settlements
• Experience leading P&L to drive profitability
• Experience driving process simplification and automation
• Strong business acumen and profitability focus
• Knowledge of corporate actions and investment performance reporting
• Ability to lead multiple diverse teams across operational disciplines
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools for reporting and analysis

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop the Investment Operations team to build a high performing unit
• Oversee client service delivery and operational risk management
• Partner with sponsors to develop new products and services for clients
• Drive end-to-end pricing function and profitability initiatives
• Ensure delivery of SLA/KPI targets and high accuracy in outputs
• Implement governance, QA processes and risk controls across the team
• Oversee offshore team collaboration (e.g., India)
• Foster continuous improvement and cost management initiatives
• Provide leadership, coaching and performance reviews for staff
• Support succession planning and staff development
