HR Partners in Geelong is seeking an experienced Senior Digital Content Writer to lead the end-to-end rewrite and restructuring of website content. You will optimize the digital presence by establishing a sustainable distributed content authoring model.

Key focus areas include information architecture, content audits, accessibility compliance (WCAG 2.1 AA), and translating complex technical material into plain English for diverse audiences across platforms.

Qualifications

• Proven digital writing and editing experience.
• Ability to distill technical/regulatory material into plain English.
• Hands-on experience with WordPress CMS and IA design.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.

Responsibilities

• Content Strategy & Development: Lead the audit of existing website content to eliminate gaps and duplication. Write, edit, and publish high-quality, plain-language web and social media copy aligned with brand narratives.
• Information Architecture & CMS: Structure web content for improved user experience using WordPress, establishing clear guidelines for metadata, tagging, and formatting.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal operational, legal, safety, and policy teams to translate technical/regulatory material into plain English.
• Accessibility & Quality Control: Ensure all digital assets comply with WCAG 2.1 AA standards and government accessibility requirements, converting complex PDFs into accessible HTML content where applicable.
• Distributed Authoring Support: Build project frameworks to empower internal teams to author content, providing documentation, style guides, and process support.
