Job summary

IT Alliance seeks Lead Content Designers for a major Australian government program. You will design, write and review Workforce Australia content across web, notifications and apps, with a focus on UX writing, web writing and clear communication.

Roles are hybrid across QLD, WA, ACT, VIC, NSW, NT, SA and TAS, working with stakeholders to improve user experience. You will mentor staff, collaborate in agile teams using Azure DevOps, and help ensure content meets WCAG 2.1 and Government Style

Qualifications

• Experience in writing, editing, structuring, and maintaining complex content.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, consultation and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to apply Australian Government and department style guides such as WCAG 2.1, Government Style Manual and Digital Service Standards
• Experience in providing advice to management and the senior Executives about content design
• Professional web writer producing written content for websites

Responsibilities

• Designing, planning and writing content that meets user needs and is easy to understand
• Implementing best practice using style guides, content patterns, content strategies and policies
• Developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders at all levels
• Using evidence, data and research to improve content and user experience
• Working with multidisciplinary teams in an agile project environment, and using Azure DevOps to manage work
• Participating in workshops and planning events to develop requirements and features
• Preparing documents, presentations and talking points
• Working autonomously and as part of a team
• Providing support to channel leads, director and mentoring less experienced staff line management and leadership responsibilities
• Manage competing priorities, including:
• - manage many content projects at the same time
• - track and communicate progress
