Job summary

Scyne Advisory Pty in Canberra seeks a Manager - Digital Forensics and Incident Response to drive client DFIR outcomes. You will apply hands‑on DFIR skills across incidents, align with recognized frameworks, and operate in highly regulated environments to protect client interests.

You will mentor junior colleagues, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and help shape new DFIR capabilities and offerings for the firm and its government clients.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven industry experience in incident response, digital forensics or security operations.
• Hands‑on technical skills in networks, clouds (Azure, AWS, GCP), SaaS apps, end user compute and data management.
• Knowledge of digital forensics and data analysis practices with relevant tooling.
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK and NIST SP 800-61 frameworks.
• Basic project management skills and ability to lead a small project team.
• Certifications such as GCIH, GCFA, Security+, CIH or related security ops credentials.

Responsibilities

• Leverage DFIR skills to help clients respond to cyber incidents with hands-on support and expert advice.
• Follow DFIR frameworks and practices, including MITRE ATT&CK and NIST guidelines.
• Operate in sensitive, regulated environments across government and public sector.
• Mentor junior team members to grow DFIR capabilities.
• Collaborate with Scyne and alliance partners to assemble required capabilities for clients.
• Contribute to development of new DFIR capabilities, products and services.
