Job summary

Scyne Advisory Pty is seeking a Manager for Digital Forensics and Incident Response to lead high‑impact DFIR engagements in government and public sector workstreams. The role requires hands‑on expertise, strong incident response leadership, and the ability to mentor junior staff.

You will work across networks, cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP) and data platforms, applying MITRE ATT&CK and NIST principles while coordinating with cross‑disciplinary teams to deliver secure outcomes for clients.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven incident response, digital forensics or security operations experience.
• Hands-on technical skills in networks, cloud platforms, SaaS apps, end-user compute, and data tools.
• Knowledge of digital forensics and data analysis practices, with relevant tooling experience.
• Foundations in MITRE ATT&CK and NIST SP 800-61 frameworks.
• Basic project management with ability to lead a small project.

Responsibilities

• Leverage DFIR skills to help clients respond to cyber incidents with hands-on support and advice.
• Follow recognised DFIR frameworks and best practices including MITRE ATT&CK and NIST standards.
• Work in sensitive, regulated environments across government and public sectors with compliant processes.
• Mentor junior team members to grow DFIR skills and experience.
• Collaborate with internal and partner teams to engage all necessary capabilities.
• Contribute to developing new capabilities, products, and services based on market demand.
