Job summary

Scyne Advisory is seeking a Manager in Digital Forensics and Incident Response to create value by leading DFIR engagements for government and public sector clients. You will apply hands-on DFIR skills, operate within regulated environments, and help grow the team’s capabilities while collaborating across Scyne and partners.

The role requires 5+ years in incident response or security operations, knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK and NIST frameworks, and the ability to participate in a 24/7 on-call roster.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven industry experience in incident response, digital forensics or security operations.
• Hands‑on technical skills with networks, hyperscale clouds (Azure, AWS, GCP), SaaS apps, endpoints and data tools.
• Strong knowledge of digital forensics and data analysis practices and the related tooling.
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK and NIST SP 800-61 frameworks.
• Basic project management and ability to lead small projects with a team.
• Certifications such as GCIH, GCFA, Security+, CIH or related security ops certs.

Responsibilities

• Leverage DFIR skills to help clients respond to cyber incidents with hands-on support and expert advice.
• Follow DFIR frameworks and practices, including MITRE ATT&CK and NIST/ISO references.
• Work in sensitive, regulated environments across government sectors, following policies.
• Mentor and develop junior team members as DFIR skills grow.
• Collaborate with Scyne and alliance partners to engage necessary capabilities.
• Contribute to the development of new DFIR capabilities, products and services.
