Base pay range

A$112.50/hr - A$125.00/hr

Nuage has partnered with a Nationally recognised product company. We’re looking for a Senior Azure Engineer with a strong Infrastructure and Systems Engineering background, coupled with proven DevOps expertise. This role sits within a critical environment where you’ll be responsible for both building and fixing ground-up Azure solutions, ensuring automation is streamlined, and supporting new deployments aligned to enterprise frameworks.

This is a hands-on position suited to someone who thrives in incident-heavy environments, enjoys troubleshooting, and can help reshape automation and infrastructure foundations while enabling new project deployments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and enhance Azure Landing Zones, ensuring alignment with the CAF vending model for new infrastructure and application deployments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve critical infrastructure and automation incidents (including on-call support where required).
• Strengthen and rebuild automation frameworks using Terraform (Rover) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Develop and maintain automation scripts in PowerShell (heavy usage), Python, and Bash.
• Contribute to building scalable CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps (ADO).
• Support infrastructure operations, including deployments, monitoring, and incident response.

Skills & Experience

• Strong background in Azure Infrastructure & Systems Engineering.
• Proven DevOps capabilities with Azure DevOps (ADO), pipelines, and automation.
• Advanced knowledge of Terraform (Rover version) for IaC.
• Deep scripting expertise in PowerShell, with additional Python and Bash.
• Experience in automation framework design and troubleshooting within complex environments.
• Hands-on exposure to incident-heavy environments with the ability to fix and improve from the ground up.
• Understanding of Azure CAF Landing Zone / Vending Model deployments.
