Job summary

Capstone Recruitment seeks a senior development professional to lead a portfolio of projects across the full development lifecycle. You will mentor junior team members and actively manage a diverse set of acquisitions, feasibility, due diligence, design, planning and construction.

Reporting to the Head of Development, you will drive stakeholder engagement, negotiate opportunities, and oversee delivery from inception to practical completion within a fast-paced corporate environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience managing projects across the full development lifecycle.
• Exposure to smaller-scale or staged developments is highly regarded.
• Experience with retail, commercial or industrial assets and leasehold/tenant management.

Responsibilities

• Own and guide projects from sourcing through feasibility, design, planning and delivery.
• Lead and mentor junior team members while actively managing your own portfolio.
• Engage a broad range of internal and external stakeholders throughout every phase of development.
• Navigate town planning processes from lodgement to approval and delivery to practical completion.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Head of Development, you will step into a pivotal senior position within a dynamic development team. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be both a mentor and a doer – guiding and developing junior team members while actively managing your own portfolio of projects from end to end.

You will take ownership across the full development lifecycle, including:

• Actively sourcing and evaluating acquisition opportunities and new sites
• Managing feasibility, due diligence and negotiation through acquisition
• Overseeing design development and stakeholder engagement
• Navigating town planning processes from lodgement to approval
• Delivering projects through construction to practical completion
• Collaborating with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders throughout every phase

To be successful in this role you will ideally bring:

• Demonstrated experience managing projects across the full development lifecycle
• Exposure to smaller-scale or staged developments (highly regarded)
• Experience working with retail, commercial or industrial assets, including an understanding of leasehold agreements and tenant management
• The ability to engage and influence a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
• A degree in Property, Planning, Construction, or a related discipline
• Exceptional energy, professionalism and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
