Job summary

Datacom is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to provide end-user services across Sydney, delivering hardware break/fix support, remote assistance, software deployment, and device provisioning for customers. The role requires Australian citizenship and offers opportunities across the Sydney area.

You will be responsible for tier-1 ticket handling, device configurations, and strong customer communications while ensuring adherence to service levels and company guidelines.

Qualifications

Must deliver exceptional customer service for end-user devices and services.
Ability to prioritise work to meet SLAs and timelines.
Good knowledge of laptops, desktops, printers, and mobility devices (BYOD).
Strong verbal and written communication with the ability to explain technical details clearly.

Responsibilities

Be the first point of contact for incidents and requests, log/triage/resolve tickets.
Troubleshoot desktop and laptop faults, including performance and driver issues.
Handle identity and access requests: passwords, MFA, new starters, group changes.
Prepare devices for new starters with standard build and apps.
Manage mobility devices: enrolment, config, policy, app issues, provisioning.
Maintain hardware, peripherals, and print services, and track assets.
Document fixes with clear notes and knowledge base articles.
