Job summary

Ausenco in Newcastle is seeking an experienced Lead / Senior Designer to lead our design team across process, structural, mechanical and piping disciplines. You will mentor designers, drive design quality and coordinate resources across multiple projects to meet timeframes and standards.

You will foster a high-performance culture, collaborate with engineering leaders and clients, and contribute to continuous improvement of design drafting practices while supporting APAC teams and recruitment

Qualifications

• Significant experience in design drafting across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Proven leadership in managing and developing design teams.
• Strong understanding of drafting standards and quality management systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the design team to deliver high-quality outputs on time.
• Coordinate and allocate design resources across projects to ensure success.
• Review design deliverables for compliance with standards and client requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement of design drafting practices and processes.
• Mentor and develop designers to build capability and culture.
