Job summary

Ausenco is seeking an Engineering Manager (Design Manager) to join the Newcastle team. You will manage and oversee engineering and design across Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical and Instrumentation for mineral processing projects, leading a multidisciplinary team and ensuring technical quality and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Extensive discipline engineering experience in industrial/mineral processing EPCM environments.
• Proven leadership experience overseeing multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong technical expertise in mineral processing concepts, technologies and equipment.
• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of project management tools and scheduling/budgeting methods.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee engineering and design across Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical and Instrumentation.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
• Provide technical approval and sign-off on engineering and design.
• Collaborate with leadership and functional managers to achieve technical and schedule goals.
• Engage with clients to define project scopes and deliver tailored solutions.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, health, safety and environmental policies.
• Foster continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.
