Job summary

Queensland Health is seeking a Senior Deployment Technician to drive technology deployment and refresh activities across health sites in Queensland. You will prep devices, deploy and install ICT assets, manage stock, and support replacement activities following established processes.

The role also involves asset record-keeping, quoting support, and delivering both onsite and remote ICT assistance. You will work with the Deployment Coordinator to meet service levels, apply incident management

Qualifications

• Experience delivering ICT support to clients with focus on workload management and task prioritisation.

• Strong written and spoken communication for documentation and reports.
• Willingness to mentor juniors and work in a team.
• Quickly learn ServiceNow and ITIL Service Management processes.

Job description

As the Senior Deployment Technician, you will play a key role in delivering technology deployment and refresh activities across Queensland Health sites, providing high-quality customer service and technical support to ensure successful outcomes. You will work closely with the local Deployment Coordinator to support the delivery of the WSR program, including device preparation, deployment, installation, stock management, and replacement activities in accordance with established work processes. Using effective communication and problem-solving skills, you will investigate and resolve incidents, apply eHealth incident management practices, and ensure agreed service levels are maintained. You will also contribute to asset management integrity through accurate record keeping and participation in regular asset activities, while providing financial and administrative support associated with quoting, ICT assets, and equipment management. In addition, you will provide both onsite and remote support to Queensland Health sites as required, working collaboratively with stakeholders to deliver reliable and efficient ICT services.

About you

We are searching for someone who has:

• Demonstrated technical expertise in the management, configuration, monitoring and implementation of ICT environments in one or more technical domains – See Appendix 1.
• Ability to deliver high quality ICT support to clients, with an emphasis on managing workloads, prioritising tasks and working unsupervised.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve ICT related problems within defined Service Level Agreements.
• Interpersonal skills and personal qualities that facilitate the development of good working relationships, including mentoring of junior staff to enhance the provision of quality client service in a team environment.
• Developed oral and written communication skills that enable the creation and/or maintenance of system documentation, work instructions and technical reports for management.
• Ability to quickly learn ServiceNow and ITIL Service Management processes (primarily request / CMDB / asset management)
• Proven experience or ability to deliver on small to medium scale projects, focused on scheduling and customer engagement. Ability to coordinate multiple tasks within agreed priorities, timeframes and accountabilities.
