Job summary

1300SMILES Gladstone, part of the Abano Healthcare network, is seeking an experienced Senior Dental Assistant to join the busy, established practice full-time. You’ll provide confident chairside support across a broad range of procedures and help keep surgeries running smoothly.

You’ll combine high clinical standards with initiative, assist multiple clinicians, manage stock and sterilisation, and support a welcoming patient experience in a busy dental environment.

Qualifications

• Strong chairside experience in a busy dental practice.
• Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting required or highly regarded.
• Knowledge of sterilisation and infection control practices.
• Ability to stay organised and proactive in a fast-paced environment.
• Calm, capable approach and willingness to support team members.

1300SMILES Gladstone is looking for an experienced Senior Dental Assistant to join the team full-time.

This is a hands-on role for someone who is confident chairside, knows what a clinician needs before they ask and takes pride in keeping a busy surgery running well. With a broad range of general, restorative, cosmetic and emergency dentistry, you’ll have plenty of variety and the opportunity to put your experience to work.

We’re looking for someone who is confident taking ownership, maintains high clinical standards and is happy to be a go-to person for the team.

You’ll be an important part of the clinical team, combining strong chairside skills with the organisation and initiative needed to keep the day running smoothly.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing confident chairside assistance across a broad range of procedures


• Preparing surgeries and anticipating what clinicians need throughout treatment


• Keeping appointments running efficiently and supporting clinical flow


• Maintaining high standards of sterilisation and infection control


• Managing clinical stock, equipment and surgery organisation


• Helping patients feel comfortable throughout their treatment

What you’ll bring:

• Strong previous experience as a Dental Assistant


• Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting is highly regarded


• Confidence assisting across a range of procedures and with different clinicians


• Strong knowledge of sterilisation and infection control


• The ability to anticipate, prioritise and stay organised in a busy practice


• A calm, capable approach when the day doesn’t go to plan


• Confidence to share your knowledge and support less experienced team members


• A genuine pride in your work and the standards you bring to the practice
