Job summary

Billigence Pty Ltd is seeking a Senior Data Quality / Data Governance Consultant to join our Sydney team. You will design and implement governance and data quality frameworks, working directly with clients and driving your own engagements with minimal supervision.

The role requires specialist knowledge in data governance, privacy, and data quality, with the ability to lead initiatives and advise on regulatory considerations. A hybrid working model and opportunities for training are provided.

Qualifications

• Specialist experience in Data Governance & Privacy and Data Quality.
• Strong data management knowledge.
• Practical experience with CDE-based approaches and regulatory standards (CPS).
• Working knowledge of DAMA-DMBOK, DCAM or CDMC.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on data governance, privacy and data quality strategy, frameworks, and operating models.
• Implement data quality approaches, including CDE identification and management, with regulatory considerations.
• Configure and deliver DQ and governance tooling solutions.
• Contribute to proposals, workshops, and client engagements as a trusted advisor.

About the Role

Join our Sydney team as a Senior Consultant specialising in data governance, privacy, and data quality. You’ll work directly with clients to design and implement governance and DQ frameworks, and you’ll be expected to drive your own work with minimal supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on data governance, privacy and data quality strategy, frameworks, and operating models
• Implement data quality approaches, including Critical Data Element (CDE) identification and management, with attention to regulatory requirements
• Configure and deliver DQ and governance tooling solutions
• Contribute to proposals, workshops, and client engagements as a trusted advisor

Must-have

• Specialist experience in Data Governance & Privacy and Data Quality
• Strong data management knowledge
• Practical experience with CDE-based approaches and relevant regulatory standards (CPS; see note below)
• Working knowledge of at least one framework: DAMA-DMBOK, DCAM or CDMC
• Self-starter who is driven and works well independently

Nice-to-have

• Hands-on experience with DQ/governance tooling, preferably Ataccama and/or Collibra
• Consulting or client-facing experience, with a customer-focused approach
• Formal certification in DAMA, DCAM or CDMC
• Financial services or other regulated industry background
