Job summary

Billigence Pty Ltd is seeking a mid-level Data engineer/consultant to work across data engineering and data governance. You’ll configure Snowflake for analytics engineering focusing on Horizon governance, design semantic models, and build POCs and MVPs that show value early and shape client roadmaps.

You’ll work across platforms and tools as client demand shifts, run workshops and present to technical and business stakeholders, and join a global team with a flexible, hybrid working model and

Qualifications

• 2-4 years hands-on Snowflake experience.
• Understanding of semantic modelling and access management.
• Strong communication skills with senior stakeholders.
• Ability to pick up new technologies quickly.

About the Role

We’re seeking a mid-level Data engineer/consultant that wants to work across data engineering & data governance.

What you’ll do

• Configure Snowflake for analytics engineering, with a focus on Horizon (access, governance, catalogue, tagging, lineage)
• Design semantic models and access structures that make data usable and governed
• Build POCs and MVPs that show value early and shape client roadmaps
• Work across platforms and tools as client demand shifts
• Run workshops and present to technical and business stakeholders

Must-have

• 2-4 Years hands-on commercial Snowflake experience
• Understanding of semantic modelling and access management
• Very strong communication skills, confident with senior stakeholders
• Ability to pick up new technologies quickly

Strong advantage (one or more)

• Experience delivering POCs or MVPs in a consulting setting
• Snowflake Horizon experience
• Data governance exposure (catalogues, policies, ownership, data quality)
• Collibra platform management or administration
• Databricks Unity Catalog or GCP governance tooling
• Catalogue-to-platform integration experience

Nice-to-have

• dbt or SQL-based analytics engineering
• SnowPro certification
• Utilities, government or other regulated sector experience
