Job summary

The HR Ally is seeking a Lead Data Manager to lead the data analytics team across multiple states (QLD, VIC, ACT, SA). The role focuses on data analysis, governance, and Power BI reporting to drive business insights and performance.

You will work on data governance using Microsoft Purview, develop dashboards, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure high-quality analytics to inform decisions. This is a 12-month contract with opportunities for impact and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Experience analyzing complex data and producing insights from multiple sources.
• Experience developing dashboards and reports in Power BI.
• Experience supporting data governance, classification or reporting in Purview or M365.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement, guiding decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support operations of the team, setting priorities and resources.
• Oversee staff performance, attendance, health and wellbeing.
• Develop staff capabilities through coaching and succession planning.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve project outcomes.
• Develop standard data methodologies and governance processes.
• Monitor performance against KPIs and adapt.
• Contribute to ICT strategy and data policy improvements.
• Assist with data quality programs and documentation.
• Prepare technical and corporate documentation.
• Attend interagency meetings to influence outcomes.
